Dear Friend of The Hill School:

"If I Found $1,000, I Would..."

A group of our middle school students recently responded to this writing prompt. Without discussion or collaboration, all responded selflessly, saying they would help those in need or donate to animal shelters. One even said it wasn't her money so she would try to find the owner. What a wonderful moment to see young people, who also happen to be struggling learners, at their best putting others first! Every day, our students make us proud, and we are grateful for them and for their many remarkable qualities.

Indeed - our students are quite extraordinary - and your generous gift has made it possible for our young learners to gain much from their hard work at The Hill School. We are grateful for your selfless investment in our mission to empower children who have learning differences with the skills needed to become confident, independent learners. Your donation allows us to support students in the community, as well, through our tutoring and outreach programs.

Here are a few examples of how your support is impacting our Hill School family:

  • $1,000 has a significant impact on our Scholarship Fund for need-based financial aid.

  • $500 provides initial Orton-Gillingham Method training and certification for one educator.

  • $100 provides annual testing materials for two classes to assess student progress.

Thank You! You have made a real difference in the lives of the students we serve.

With gratitude and warmest regards,

Susan Harrell

Executive Director
