SCHOOL DAY TUTORING PROGRAM This is a 30-hour per week position. Student groups are approximately 4 th - 6 th grades. I. Teaching Responsibilities A. Teach two groups of not more than seven students for two hours per day an appropriate curriculum in science and social studies. B. Use appropriate multisensory instruction. C. Establish and effectively implement expectations for classroom management. D. Create and closely monitor safe play options for students during breaks and the one-hour lunch period. E. Prepare and maintain folders for substitute teachers. II. Parent/School Responsibilities A. Participate in and/or chair parent conferences. B. Provide a quarterly summary to parents that summarizes the curricular topics that have been presented. III. Other A. Valid teaching certification preferred. B. Teacher must successfully complete annual training for abuse awareness.
