What Does a Learning Difference Look Like in the Regular Classroom?

Posted January 04, 2017

What does a diagnosis of dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, a non-verbal learning disability, and/or attention deficit disorder mean? What do these learning differences look like in the general education classroom?  How do these students learn and how does the classroom look to them? Each of these questions will be addressed with the hope of gaining insight and empathy into the world of these students. The workshop will be held February 16th, from 6:00 - 7:30 pm, in room 162 of the UNCW Watson School of Education building. This workshop is free and open to the public, but please register in advance at this link What Does a Learning Difference Look Like in the Regular Classroom? .  Our presenters will be The Hill School of Wilmington teachers, Lee Johnson and Nikki Whitley, and Wilmington area psychologist, Dr. Thomas E. Mates. What Does a Learning Difference Look Like in the Regular Classroom flyer
