The Hill Center Honored as One of American's Top 100 High-Impact Nonprofits

Posted by kkelly in The Hill Center Blog

The Social Impact Exchange of New York has recently launched the first-ever broad index of U.S. nonprofits that have evidence of results and the potential to grow. The Index, referred to as S&I 100, helps grantmakers and donors search for high performing nonprofits in the issue areas and locations they care about and give directly to the organizations in a few quick and easy steps, making it easier for nonprofits to raise funds to grow their work.

The Hill Center is honored to be among the 100 named high-impact solutions to America's most pressing problems. The Hill Center of Durham offers a model K-12 school program, professional development and training for teachers and administrators to improve educational outcomes for struggling learners in the areas of reading, writing, and math. The Hill Center currently partners with public schools in 5 school districts and 47 cities in North Carolina. In 2011-2012, Hill Center trained over 1600 teachers.

The Social Impact Exchange was launched by the Growth Philanthropy Network (GPN), in partnership with Duke University - Center for Strategic Philanthropy and Civil Society (CSPCS) and its Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE). Together, these organizations are supporting the development of the Exchange.
