The 2016 Gift of Learning Luncheon

Posted October 12, 2016

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2016 Gift of Learning Luncheon such a success. The Hill School of Wilmington welcomed over 100 guests to Cape Fear Country Club on Thursday, September 22, 2016 for its Gift of Learning Luncheon.  Aside from being a fundraiser, the purpose of the luncheon was to educate guests about the unprecedented growth the school has experienced since opening its doors in 2010, and to inform guests of the impact the school is making in the Wilmington area. The luncheon raised well over $20,000 from its donors. The Hill School of Wilmington, a nonprofit 501(c)3, is the only school in southeastern North Carolina specifically designed to address the needs of students with learning disabilities and/or attention disorders.

Hill School Director Susan Harrell commented, "It was incredible to see a room full of educators, current and alumni parents, elected officials, and other community supporters, together to support our mission.  Every one of our guests were there because they understand the importance of unlocking the potential of children with learning differences."
